Follow-Up Tuning $145 (Tax Included)
A follow-up tuning is almost always needed if a piano has not been tuned in over 2 years.
This should take place 3-6 weeks after the first tuning.
How do I know if I will need a Follow-Up tuning?
If your piano hasn't been tuned in at least 2 years, it will most likely need tuned more than once for it to hold a perfect pitch.
If your piano's pitch is more than 10 cents (10% of a note) low, it will need a follow-up tuning before it stays at perfect pitch.
At your Standard Tuning, I will do an assessment of the pitch and tone before the tuning, and let you know at that time if I will suggest a Follow-Up Tuning.
Do I have to get a Follow-Up?
No. You can always decline the follow-up.
I will let you know if I think you should get a follow-up tuning or not, but you can always decide to not get it or to wait longer than 3-6 weeks to do it.
If you choose to opt-out after my suggestion, though, just know your piano will likely fall partially out of tune over the next month. Why? Read Below.
Why does my piano need a Follow-Up?
This is needed because over time, the piano's strings stretch, leaving the pitch low (out of tune).
When the pitch is more than 10 cents (10% of a note) low, which is often the case after more than a year without a tune, the strings cannot hold the pitch they are tuned to and will fall back out of tune.
Therefore, many pianos will need a Follow-Up Tuning after their Standard Tuning. This will occur about 3-6 weeks after the original tuning.
Follow-Up Tuning pricing is applied to any tuning done within 3 months of a standard tuning.

Tuning and Seasonal Service $210
Seasonal service includes piano tuning, light cleaning, voicing, & regulation to make your piano easier to play.
You deserve to have a piano with beautiful tone that is easy to play.
Getting seasonal service in addition to tuning helps maintain your piano's sound and keep it easier to play. Pianos start life ready for such optimal performance, but they deteriorate over time.
Owning a piano whose voice (tone) has deteriorated and that is difficult to play means one thing: You are not going to want to play, because you don't enjoy it.
Voicing
Voicing is a service that involves many different techniques designed to improve the tone quality of your piano. You may know it as the "color", "tone", "sound feel", or the "sound profile" of the piano.
Voicing improves tone through many techniques working to take away unwanted sounds like "buzzing" or "rolling" notes, and soften "bright", "harsh", or "tinny" sounds.
This takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Hammer Reshaping
Hammer reshaping is a service that often must come before voicing to improve the tone quality of your piano.
It involves filing worn hammers to restore the sounds.
When hammers are very worn and grooved, this is required before voicing.
This takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Repairs $70/Hour + Parts
Most common repairs:
String Replacement
$50 + Parts
Sticking Keys
There are over 20 different reasons a key can stick.
Most sticking keys take less than 30 minutes and require few or no parts.
I will perform a diagnostic and let you know what is causing the sticking key.
Then I will let you know how long it should take me to fix so you can decide if you would like me to do the repairs.
